[MUSIC PLAYING] We decided that one way to reach out to kids in the community and really bring them into this event and teach them about astronomy and science would be to attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the largest outdoor astronomy lesson. We probably need to block off this as well. I've got my fingers crossed thinking it's going to happen, but you never know. I'm exhausted. I don't know what's happening. I want it to happen. But I'm freaking out a little. I've got butterflies in my stomach. I'm nervous. I'm excited. I'm hoping we break the Guinness World Record tonight. For this record, our guidelines require that the record attempt takes place outside and at night. It also has to last for at least 30 minutes long. If anyone leaves during those 30 minutes, unfortunately, they won't be counted towards the record. So we will be watching for anyone to leave during that time. The number of times I've seen it retweeted, and people are showing up early already, I think we'll be able to get it. I think so. I hope. The oracle says yes. Let's bring them in. We've been able to find lots and lots of planets around nearby stars. There's a lot of people championing this new generation's fascination with space and fascination with the universe beyond just our little planet here. And I just wanted to be a part of it. This is going to be awesome. I hope we're going to beat the record. It's going to be super. --today and so don't forget to-- --change its shape or structure much when it gets very cold. We just passed the world record. I'm feeling really excited. But I don't want to be overzealous. We are ready to begin the world record attempt. 3, 2, 1, go. [CHEERS] All right, give it up, Austin. Let's hear you. We are going to talk to you tonight about exploring the universe with light and color. But a filter blocks most of the wavelengths and only lets certain wavelengths through. We have just set the world record for largest astronomy lesson. [CHEERS] We did it. We beat the record. I was worried. People were coming in. They said I got to go to the bathroom. I said, you got to please stay as long as you can. And they came in, they left, but we beat it. I'm thrilled. I am so thrilled. 558 people came into the arena. 32 people ended up leaving during the 30 minutes. So with a final record count of 526 people. On your way out. Thanks for coming, guys. This is really great, because it was cold. It was at night. So this turned out really well. All right. We got to be rock star astronomers tonight. Boy, I feel official. I really feel-- You're officially part of the Guinness World Record attempt. Oh, it was a lot of fun. It was cool. I thought it was a really amazing experience. It's really nice to learn from the tutorial, going to new things. We broke a world record. Another world record broken, baby. That's awesome. [MUSIC PLAYING]
